Mimi Pons was characterized by her innate beauty and her ideal vedette demeanour. As a girl, she studied dance and began her career in the 1970s with her older sister Norma Pons, led by José Marrone, when they both went to cast on Channel 13, where the comedian presented Marronadas 66, directed by Julio Porter, for then director of Maipo. He worked with great comedians such as Pepe Biondi, Pepe Marrone and Luis Sandrini.
