Camila Perissé, born Camila Porro (Mar del Plata, January 1, 1954), is an Argentine actress and star. She was the protagonist of various movies and television series. As the country’s sex symbol (particularly during the 1980s), she appeared on numerous national magazine covers, including Playboy magazine.
Biography
She made her professional debut in 1976 at the Teatro Olimpo with Despertar de Primavera under the direction of Agustín Alezzo and Hedy Crilla. From that moment on, she participated in several plays, making her debut in Mar del Plata with the play Amores míos (1980) together with Thelma Biral. Within his career, he stood out especially in the works La señorita de Tacna (1981) (with Norma Aleandro, directed by: Emilio Alfaro) and Pantaleon and the Visitors (1993) (by Mario Vargas Llosa, with Franklin Caicedo, directed by: Hugo Urquijo). For the latter, she was shortlisted for the “ACE” awards for best performance in a musical comedy.
At the same time, he developed his film career (The Flea in Pancho Guerrero’s Ear, Bairoletto, the adventure of a Rebel, Las Lobas, Atrapadas, Los Gatos (High-level prostitution), etc.), advertising (Pilas Varta, Kenwood, Oridus) and television (it debuted on El Show de Velasco Ferrero), stood out in various cycles of Tato Bores: Tato vs. Tato, Extra Tato and Tato Diet, and she participated –among others– in Los Machos, Al Sur, Desde adentro and Esa Provinciana. In 1996 she settled in New York, where she dedicated herself to her other passions: cooking (after taking several courses on nutrition and healing through food), she set up a bar specializing in natural foods and juices called “Cafetín”. This bar was on the cover of the Sunday Supplement of The New York Times and Time Out magazine, design (it had a shop with recycled handmade furniture) and gymnastics (it received a personal trainer and a holistic massage therapist).
While he was out of Argentina, he lived 4 years between Spain and England, returning to Argentina at the end of 2008. She settled in the Lobos district (Buenos Aires), where she offered private English classes. And since 2010, he has hosted the radio program C.S.S., Camila Sin Siesta, which was broadcast on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Radio Antena AM 1560 – Radio Zonal (Lobos), being able to listen to the program lives from the radio’s website.
In 2012 she returned to her acting career with the film Helena; in 2014, she made the film Planta Madre. Since 2015 she has been living in Mariano Benítez, Pergamino.
In December 2019, she returned to television as a guest in the program Who Wants to be a Millionaire, hosted by Santiago del Moro.
