Delia Crucet (Gerli, August 8, 1952), better known by her stage name Lía Crucet, is an Argentine singer, former vedette and actress.
Biography
Encouraged by her parents, she began her artistic career in magazine theatre and Argentine television, where she developed as a vedette. She took her first steps at the Maipo Theater in Buenos Aires.
He shared stages with comedians and actresses from the country, such as Jorge Corona, José Marrone, Alberto Olmedo, Jorge Porcel, Enrique Pinti, Nito Artaza, Dringue Farías, Adolfo Stray, Ethel Rojo, Moria Casán, Naanim Timoyko, Vicente Rubino, Tristán and Patricia Dal, among others.
She exhibited her body with micro thongs in several Argentine picaresque films of the 1980s and in Moria Casán’s programs, where she earned the nickname La Tetamanti. She became well known for the leaking of her breasts and the movement of her hips.
Towards the end of the eighties – with her already being a well-known figure in theatre and television – she began her career as a singer. She chose the popular tropical rhythm, dance music and cumbia. The Leader Music record company allowed her to launch her career as a singer.
She made her debut with her first album called Yo no soy Abusadora. Her second album, La Movidita de ella, established her as the number one tropical movida, with her best-known songs La Güera Salome and Que Bello. In her career, she would later make another ten albums.
For the Coca-Cola Company, Lía Crucet recorded a commercial with the music of one of her best-known songs, What Am I Going to Do with the Heat?
She was interviewed and participated in recognized programs such as Almorzando con Mirtha Legrand, Susana Giménez, Peor es Nada and Videomatch.
In 2006, Crucet participated in the film Whose Garter Belt? by the Argentine musician and filmmaker Fito Páez, released on September 17, 2007, in Rosario.
