Amalia “Yuyito” González (Buenos Aires; March 8, 1960) is an Argentine film, theatre and television actress, journalist and vedette who was very successful in the 1980s.
Biography
Born in 1960 in the Caballito neighbourhood, she was the daughter of a middle-class marriage. She grew up with two siblings: a sister and a brother (he is currently a renowned infectious disease specialist, and she has a degree in psychology as a psychoanalyst).
She grew up in a middle-class home and dropped out of school at age 16 without completing it. Owner of a striking and spectacular beauty, she had ambitions to work on television when, in 1982, she met Pepe Parada and Gerardo Sofovich in a restaurant, who facilitated her entry into the world of Argentine entertainment.1 Her nickname of “Yuyito”, with which she would achieve numerous successes, was attributed to her for the role of a sexy gardener that she played on television in the program La Peluquería de Don Mateo.
In 1995, she unintentionally inspired the salsa song “Talento de television” by singer Willie Colón and Venezuelan composer Amílcar Boscán. Her poor performance in the Caribbean rhythm dance was the trigger that inspired the salsa success, apart from other limitations that were reflected in the lyrics.2
Personal life
She had a famous romance with the eighties heartthrob Adrián “El Facha” Martel. She also knew how to relate intimately with former president Carlos Menem.
She was in a relationship with Guillermo Coppola, with whom she had her first daughter, Bárbara, an architect. She was married until 2000 to César Di Aloy, her coach, with whom she had two children, twins Stefano and Brenda Di Aloy, who was a hostess on A todo o nada, a program hosted by Guido Kaczka and was a host on Los 15 majors with who was in a relationship with the announcer Cristian Vanadía for I want music in my language.
In 2005, at the age of 45 and after having a significant personal crisis, she decided to change her life drastically; she adopted the evangelical faith and completely distanced herself from the world of entertainment.
