1958 Silette Automatic is a 35mm film viewfinder camera made by Agfa and introduced in 1958. It belongs to the long lasting Silette series. A development of Agfa Silette SL with match needle readout on top and in finder. Announced as Silette SLE, then immediately the name changed to Silette Automatic. It has a Bright frame finder, Color-Solinar 50mm f/2.8 lens and, Prontor SLK shutter. It was an improvement over the Silette SL camera by featuring a bright-line viewfinder and the meter reading visible inside the finder and on top. The camera body was constructed of metal and finished in chrome and and leather covering. It was fitted with a Color Solinar 2.8/50mm and the shutter is the Prontor SLK shutter. Originally priced at 89.95 including case.
